Ello all.

Well, that was certainly tiring but fun! (for those of you not having the know of who I am think Farmer Galespie and the Troll who did a bit of ten-pin with you all Smile

Firstly, thanks to Buffy and Mark as the two main protagonists and organisers of DLL, it was great, and i didn't even care about the weather....but then having a nice flat and warm bed (well, warm after I'd put the two hot-water bottles into it Smile to go to fri and sat night helped! Smile Food was superb although easier hot-drink capabilities would be appreciated heheh.

Thanks for giving me free reign on my npc..i loved every minute of Farmer Gilespie's tenure and the ghostly haunting was lovely hahahah. Fireball for the furball! I hope the two main "victims" of Gillespie enjoyed him.

As some of you probably realised... if i'm involved in someat that can be acted out then do it! IE the dragging me thru the dirt and mud as a (temporarily) dead Troll and throwing me (also dead HAHA) out of the entrance of the tavern into the mud. hmm, mud. should be a pig at the next event Tongue

Cat-man (do) - nice makeup, love it.
Guy with shed loads of woads - darn you for not dieing!
Monsters - hurrah we all did great!

Best moments:
Me throwing a spear into Mark's chest, him going down then the healers asking "what's the matter?" er, hello, ruddy big wooden spear sticking outta his chest! LMAO! haha Smile
My Troll running pull-pelt into the group (well, okay, on the first actual run i got stopped by man-mountain and nigh-on shattered my teeth hehehe) but in actual fact the Troll would have mowed thru you all like wheat before a sythe.
The guy with the rabbit-foot necklace trying to work out what Ghost Gilespie wanted by way of a "burial" hahah. Class.
The final battle where we managed to muller a fair few of you Smile

So all in all I had a whale of a time despite going home wet to the bone. Thankies all.

Love and hugs.
Sam.

I got there in the end though

From my POV

That event was Amazing i havent had so much rp fun in a long while,

Best moments for me:
Friday
The Dragging off... it seems a demon fancied me.... so he had some fun....
The Return... The Demon got Bored, took me back and Syrius Found me!(yay for Syrus)

Saturday
All the Stakeings,

Farmer Gilespie, every thing i had to do with him.... the Berial was brill.. having to actually think,

Sunday,
one thing stands out for me... A LOOOONG Spell Call.... a next to useless spell.... Big Grin *and making Buffy giggle in the middle of the fight*

((oh yeah and all the drinkies with the plot team... a great bunch of guys!))

All in all... i think i have one thing to sum my feeling up...

MORE PLEASE!

Friday:

following a 'group of pinkies' for no real reason and end up getting stroked up by a fae, scaring a goblin and having a growling match over the barricade.

Saturday:
Actually finding someone on a body! first and last time! having a hilarious conversation with kitties again, with Ramu telling lady kitty she doing it wrong. Also being told that humans were getting shown up by a beast made me pretty smug.

Hair loss, regain, loss, regain, perminant loss by fire, then magic regain with added cock up. fun to pee around with Big Grin

a wooden stick sturdy to beat things with: few shinnies
fund goblin group to attack camp: few more shinnies
having one fall over, loose grip of his staff and have it hit him in the head and kill him

PRICELESS!

Big Grin

To be fair I was down to "1 more spell/hit and I'm over" a few times over the course of the weekend and only the fact that we would get a lull in the fighting every now and then was letting me re-paint things...

Absolutely - was very impressed by everyone's relelntless enthusiasm, even the thorough soaking didn't seem to, erm, dampen the spirits of the monstering team.
Thanks again to all of you - the hard work is much appreciated!

Thanks too for the catering, especially given my fussiness...

Was great to see old friends again and meet new people too.

Personal highlight of the event was being entrusted with looking after Ruby and asked to make sure the vampire didn't hurt her. Especially as I'd only recantly savaged the poor drowe for trying to stake said vampire...

Pete

I thoughroughly enjoyed that event... i am sore... i am in pain in places... ( mainly the head.. lol) but i am happy..( if not delierius.. lol)

my fave bits where

the goblin rush.. + suicide..
the troll at the gate.. ( heh hey look a gate... rip...)
the last fight bit..
the one on one fight with the drow/vampire ( forgot ya name mate!)
the one upmanship during the drow one on one fight...
the orcs and the shouting from a player ( how many hits have these things GOT!)
the goblin fortress me and paul build.

that last one made me giggle..

well see you at the next one.. with me again monstering/ playing.. depends on what we need mwahahahahahahahahahah....
Most memorable for me - Ambers outstanding role playing when Ruby broke down in real tears!! Hun the entire ref team thought you were genuinally upset - I have never seen such fantastic role playing especially from one so young!

Sunday morning - having ran around the sleeping camp being chased by some gribbly yelling for help as I went...looking up and seeing Cooper running towards the gribbly, shield in one hand, buckling his belt with sword in hand! PMSL!!! Class moment.

On a serious note though, a HUGE thankyou to all involved, crew and players alike. It was YOU guys n gals who made the event what it was. You were all fantastic. We look forward to role playing with you in the future.......Big Grin
Yes I must say this. It was you the players and the crew that made this such an amazing event.

I know we have never had to work so hard and fast as plot before. You really kept us on our toes.

The role play by everyone was tops. I personally loved every bit of it.

Especially the when I as JD went out tracking Alexander with the beast kin and Sanith, Hmm they have fade into forest and fade into dark. Me I don't have either. I better hide really well lol.

It was a giggle watching the monsters camp and having them walk past us a few times and they did not actually see us.

Mark
It's always fun hiding in the dark. After Farmer Gilespie's ghost was laid to rest I Morden Scout'ed, got into the camp and just sat at the back "inside" the walls for an hour or more watching. Both of the two Paul's monsters walked past me there 3 or 4 times each without knowing i was there, and as i was creeping through the tents so did several players. I got to the trees in the middle of the town and one of the young female's actually stood on me that's how good my hiding was! (no idea which as i didn't uncover myself) hehe.

BTW - has anyone seen Basil? the darned dog seems to have gone missing.......
lol Biff,

Yeh I was sat by one of the tree's in the camp and had one of the monster crew creep past me about 3 times before I asked him "What are you doing in here?"

He jumped out of his skin, had to really resist the urge to giggle Smile

Mark
The weekend was absolutely awesome, I was really annoyed about being in bed at home, awake, knowing I was missing plot. Shall be more organised next time.

The start was a bit confusing but then the Cobranno Company all slotted into place, which I absolutely loved. I found myself in a the lower foothills of a mountain range that our company had been mining in a resistance camp that was immersed in danger from roving hordes of raiders and beasts outside and from all walks of evil within.

Best Moments:

-Discussing security with Boss Cooper and generally being a Company man.
-Meeting Oak, The Trapper, and all our other allies, and Ramu (is that how you spell it?) actually being a cat, sleeping a lot and not taking orders in the way a cat would, I thought it was a really good beast portrayal.
- The acCOUNTant and Alexander. Alexander being one creepy individual rocked, whilst he was talking to me at the gate he was reasoning the way only a vampires can and he did me over. At one point there was no one I could trust and I had no real way of protecting the Bosses family if Alexander had wanted to munch on them. That was scariness, never had an RP experience like that, awesome.
- Lots of other cool things too numerous to mention at 1:24 in the morning when I really should be sleeping.

Regrets:

-The Death of Farmer Gillespie, may he rest in peace, (or not, he rocked)
-Not meeting all you guys earlier.
