First I'd like to apologize for my "question" that I tried to send, I managed to hit enter wwwwaaaaaayyyy before I meant to.

Second, I do not live anywhere close but while searching for family friendly LARP groups; I have 3 Children (want 3 more) and we need a good LARP to go to here near Round Rock, Texas. Dragon Lore appeared in the results and I thought I'd check it out. I really like what I see and I wish we could be there for the next event. Sad

A little about myself...

It was near 15 years ago that I joined my first re-enactment group. (live steel don't ya know) That group fell victim to people moving and major changes (politics) that drove me away. To fill the empty hole in my heart I turned to LARPing... Joined NERO Boston and had a great time with all the R/P but the boffer fighting was more wrist slaping with padded poles. to top it off I again had to move and could no longer make events.

Now I'm retired from the Navy and have some extra time on my hands so I went looking for LARP's near me...Lo and behold... they either are SCA (which is not a bad thing per say) or out to beat each other black and blue while wearing jeans and t-shirts at a local park.

So all of that brings me to the question I wanted to ask (remember? from back at the top of this post Wink ) The question is this, May I please try to open a chapter of Dragon Lore here in the United States, State of Texas, City of Round Rock? Or if not may I borrow from your rules? (which I love) Any feedback is welcome.

Respectfully,
Rook Dygin (Gypsy...aka Garret McGee)
Well wow! Welcome to the world of Dragon Lore. Thank you for liking our system. We love it as well. The rules were generated as such for role play over rule play.

We are heavily into LARP season here and have three big LARP events coming up in the next 3 weeks ! eeks.

We need to discus this in depth between ourselves and then get back to you. Do you use MSN ? if so you can normally find me on most days, well apart from when I'm not LARPing Smile

MSN : mayo@gameon.co.uk

Its not a real email address so please don't email me on that.

So we will get back to you as soon as we get all of the team together this end.

Good LARPing

Mark aka Mayo aka JD aka Jack
Thank you so much. 3 events in 3 weeks..ooch!! I can wait, I'll just keep building weapons, armor and shields while playing at one of the city parks. (it generates a lot of interest.)

I use G-mail so I shan't see ye on MSN...Sad

I know I can't make events but could I create a Char. and join in on the R/P here on the forums? If not, I'll just read and enjoy...One question though, Does the R/P on the forums affect the R/P at an event?

Faithfully,

Rook Dygin (Gypsy, Baker... and all round rabble rouser) aka Garret
