Leaving *Rothens Rest* heading through the forest towards the islands Port is a hard going journey, even more so with the numerous and growing number of hostile creatures roaming the land..
...but a path Felix chose to tread. For by this route, he would return home, to Aevelmoore, where his wanderings began all those many years ago.

Walking down the road Felix, clad in leather trousers and boots, an open black cloth robe, brown leather armour strapped tight over the top, long leather cloak flowing behind him and a wide brimmed leather hat obscuring his face must have looked the dark and brooding type to any and all that saw him.
In reality, if one would look beneath the brim would see a wide smile across his face.

*Finally, an excuse to go home, enough endless tavern bouncing.*

Keeping his ears pricked and his senses alert Felix scanned the area around him, waiting for the slightest movement or magical disturbance, in the distance he still felt a great deal of magic, and still, far into the woods, heard the sounds of snare drums and the hammering of many feet.
As he walks he hears a crackling to his left amongst the trees....
Suddenly, Felix's hearing pricks up and he looks to his left and smiles a sly smile beneath the shade of his hat, stopping dead in his tracks he turns to face the source of the noise.

"A rift..."

"Lets see what I can do... shall we?" He mutters to himself, flexing his fingertips, awaiting what is about to happen with baited breath, glad for a little... action, he listens intently for any signs of movement.
Jarod leaves the tavern, pulling his hood up over his head, staying in the shadows; he does his best to keep to the shadows. Silently he makes his way along a path that has not been used in a while. Stopping randomly, listening, making sure no one is around. He is still stunned, the realization of his past blasting into him like some mages spell blasting into a demon. He has a father, a family, a history. Yet he is also a killer. He looks at his hands, looking at them with new eyes. Wondering how many life’s has he taken with these hands, He turns them over. Trying to work out how he could kill.
Looking again at the letter from his father, knowing that he has some way to travel, His father has told him of the stronghold on Valencia. He does not know how long the voyage will take, just that he knows he must make it. He has to know his past. No matter what it will reveal's.
So right now he finds himself heading quietly back to port adventure. Hopefully to try and gain passage on a ship leaving for Valencia.
Tearing through the fabric seperating realms a fault within the atmosphere opens amongst the trees close to Felix....As the rift completes its path to the ground from it bursts forth two forms....
Humanoid in stature, their limbs elongated ending in sharp talons, their features stretched and twisted into tormented grimaces they pause momentarily...
Never one for rash actions, and knowing not the intricate nature of the rifts, Felix readied a spell, allowing it to hover lightly at the edge of his conciousness, poised to move the moment they act offensively.

"...hail." He says simply, eyeing the creatures, curious to know their intentions and, more to the point, species.
"Halt in place travellers, for I will not hesitate to attack if you show hostility."

{Spell readied: Nockback, just incase you wanted to know}
Remaining still the two creatures stare at the figure infront of them before emitting strange noises to each other. Stretching their talons towards him they begin to edge slowly forward..
Thats my cue.
"...perfect." Uttered Felix, a wide smile across his face, flinging his left arm up he allowed the spell to burn briefly in his hand before releasing the ball of force towards the neerest creature, intent on sending it back to whatever plane it scrabbled its way out of.
As the spell was loosed Felix ran headfirst towards the creature he had not yet targeted, jumping with all his might he aimed a kick for its head with all the momentum he could muster.
Hearing a commotion up ahead, JD quickens his pace, as he draws near he slows, and takes in the situation.
